Talk:Embeddedd Java library

Ok, I'm going to jump right in where we left off on the SystronixJava Discussions.

James kindly pointed us to the Abstract Peripheral Toolkit (APT). Note the package description after the summary tables.

APT looks like a great working model for an embedded Java library (EJL?) peripheral abstractions (perhaps APT becomes part of EJL). I would like to understand how new platforms implement APT PeripheralFactory, e.g. I understand Martin has APT on JOP?

Not the actual version, but a first cut on an older one Martin 03:21, 28 March 2008 (CDT)

One idea is to focus initial efforts on the simple serial buses like SPI and I2C.

Also, Martin suggested the namespace gnu.embedded.* for the embedded Java library.

Comments?

Thanks... Mike
