JOP is on the move to be released in GPL. As almost all VHDL code (the JOP core) is written by Martin Schoeberl it will be no big deal to make this transition.

However, some of the surrounding tools (mostly Java) are copyrighted by others. The preferable licenses for the tools are:


To get a complete system with compatible licenses we have to ask the contributors:
